How long the Hotel Palace will be under renovation?
Palace Hotel will partially maintain its doors opened from December 1st 2007 until mid 2009 to carry out its important restoration program, in which we will invest more than 20 million Euros, and we are confident it will secure its place as one of the world's finest hotels in the world.
What are the plans for the hotel?
- Phase 1:
December 5th 2007: beginning of refurbishment works. Our Buffet Breakfast has been substituted by a complimentary Continental Breakfast daily served at our first floor.
Our Room Service and Bar Service will also be affected during this period and will remain unavailable. Permanent coffee and Minibar services offered as well at first floor at not cost.
Meeting Rooms available served by Rfprivate Dining Catering, held by Roman Fornell Executive Chef of the Restaurante Caelis, honoured by one star Michelin.
- Phase 2:
From February 14th 2008: Beginning of the restoration of our meeting rooms.
- Phase 3:
From October 14th 2008: end of the meeting rooms restoration
- Phase 4:
From June 14th 2009: completion of two rooms floors and so on.
The above phases will be subject to changes.
Will the Hotel change completely?
The hotel will experience a new hotel look discernibly refreshed and modern, but maintaining the authenticity and timeless elegance that have always been a hallmark of the Hotel Palace.
A new room design, a soft interior re-decoration of public areas and lounges and the realignment and optimisation of the architectural infrastructure will enhance the beauty and majesty of our property.
What are the alternative hotels while you are under refurbishment?
If you would like to visit Barcelona during our renovation, we would be pleased to take very good care of you at our hotels, Avenida Palace 4*Sup, located a few steps away from the Palace (Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, 605) or Rey Juan Carlos I Business & City Resort 5*GL (Avda. Diagonal, 661-671), where you are guaranteed a very warm welcome from all their staff during you stay.

What will happen to the Hotel Palace'staff?
The hotel is relocating our staff within our Husa sisters hotels The new Hotel Palace will also offer the opportunity to carry out specific and trained professional courses to its employees. Our staff will be capable to provide exceptional levels of attention to every guest's needs.
How will I know when the refurbishment is finished?
We will provide you updated details about the renovation process if you wish to contact us at helpdesk@hotelpalacebarcelona.com should you require any additional information.
Will there be much disruption during the renovation?
All building work will be isolated from the rest of the Hotel in order to avoid any noise. All building work will take place Monday to Friday from 09:00 am to 18:00 pm. Weekends no works.
Is the ownership still the same?
The Hotel Palace will belong still to Husa Hoteles.
Will be able to come and visit the hotel after renovation works?
Our sales team will be delighted to show you the hotel around once the Hotel Palace finish its refurbishment.
