Son de la Rambla
They are from the Rambla and play son. But also guaracha, bolero, trova, cha-cha, guajira, nengón, conga. That is, traditional Cuban music reinterpreted by an array of musicians that have been faithful to the style of eastern Cuba since its inception, an unmistakable sound that evokes the breezes of Santiago, Guantánamo, Baracoa… As veterans of Barcelona’s scene, the eight musicians of Son de la Rambla assure evenings of cheerful nostalgia, sweet happiness, love for one’s roots sprinkled by drops of humour and imbued with enthusiasm. As special and unique as Son de la Rambla.
