Post letters to Santa in the Grand Hall, learn the art of Gingerbread House making taste decadent sweets and Afternoon Tea inspired by the holiday season, soak up the best holiday films in an alpine Chalet setting, and enjoy a repertoire of traditional, international, and local Christmas carols.
This holiday season, El Palace Barcelona continues its renowned banquet tradition by offering bespoke festive tasting menus in the Grand Hall, Gran Via ballroom, and the Rooftop Garden for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day lunch, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Eve.
Menu features a refined selection of seasonal dishes including Beef Tenderloin, Crab Ravioli, Chargrilled Suckling Lamb, Roasted Sea Bass, paired with carefully selected D.O. national wines, followed by traditional Catalan sweets including nougat and neulas (traditional Catalan biscuits).
From November 19th, our Rooftop Garden will be transformed into Santa's House—a cozy woodland retreat hidden behind snow-dusted fir trees and sparkling fairy lights.
Filled with traditional garlands, ornaments, wrapped presents, toy-filled shelves, and faux roaring fireplaces, the enchanting space is brought to life with seasonal music, the scent of pine and cinnamon, and soft lighting, creating a magical experience for visitors of all ages.
Gingerbread House masterclasses allow children to be inspired by Hansel and Gretel and decorate their own edible houses using cookies, icing, and sweets.
From November 19th to January 4th, enjoy a festive edition of our signature Afternoon Tea, served daily between 11:00am and 6:00pm in the Grand Hall surrounded by festive decorations and one of the city’s most iconic Christmas trees.
Enjoy sweet and savoury delights accompanied by live piano music every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Festive highlights include:
- Afternoon Tea for Kids: Designed especially for younger guests, it draws inspiration from the whimsical world of Alice in Wonderland. Created for children aged 3 to 12, the experience invites little ones to step into a storybook setting where imaginative sweet and savoury creations, playful details and refined presentation combine to create a memorable afternoon of wonder and delight.
- Afternoon Tea with Santa Claus. Santa Claus will make a special guest appearance at Afternoon Tea every Saturday and Sunday from 5th – 20th December to greet children, collect letters with all their hearts and desires, and check if they are on the naughty or nice list.
- Afternoon Tea with Carols. On December 23rd at 5pm, singer Nika Mills, baritone Joan J. Ramos, pianist Graham Lister, and violinist Sergey Maiboroda, will perform a repertoire of traditional, international, and local Christmas carols.
From 19th November – 5th January transport you to a charming alpine-style garden with panoramic views of the city without the alpine chill. This cosy open-air cinema features four private mini chalets, complete with blankets, hot water bottles, popcorn, festive sweets, and a choice of mulled wine or hot chocolate.
A curated selection of holiday classics will be screened daily, including The Polar Express, Home Alone 1 & 2, Elf, Bridget Jones’s Diary, Miracle on 34th Street, The Grinch, and Scrooged.

On 14th December at 20:00, it brings back one of southern Spain’s most joyful and vibrant holiday traditions, the Zambomba de Jerez. This spirited evening features live Andalusian Christmas carols, festive flamenco rhythms, and traditional dishes from the region.
