El Palace Barcelona supports local organisations and charitable initiatives connected to health, education, children, families, and vulnerable communities.
This includes regular food donations to local organisations such as ALPAN Foundation, Hogar San José de la Montaña, Asociación Casa Guadalupe, Cottolengo del Padre Alegre, and Centre d’Acollida ASSÍS, helping meals reach people who need support in the local community.
The hotel also collaborates with Fundación Xana, CRIS Contra el Cáncer, AVAN Neurología, Make-A-Wish, Fundación FLS de Lucha contra el Sida y las Enfermedaades Infecciosas, and l’Escolania de Montserrat through initiatives that support medical research, children and young people, education, and families facing difficult circumstances.
On Sant Jordi, selected hotel experiences include Pulsera Candela bracelets, handmade to support childhood cancer research at Hospital Sant Joan de Déu, as well as roses from Mil y Un Sueños Association, supporting children through a gesture closely tied to one of Barcelona’s most meaningful traditions.

Responsible operations & conscious choices
Responsible choices happen in the day-to-day life of the hotel, from food and beverage to laundry, purchasing, resource use, and team participation. Current initiatives include optimising laundry processes, reducing packaging where possible, involving employees in sustainable actions, and giving priority to local suppliers.
The hotel has also introduced refillable bathroom amenities in collaboration with local brand Lab Noma, supports the Barcelona Zero Plastic Commitment, and gives priority to Fair Trade options and more responsible sourcing decisions where possible.
