Mónica Custodio is a visual artist born and based in Barcelona. She began her career as an illustrator before finding in painting a more open language through which to explore presence, movement, and gesture.
Inspired by leaves, flowers, and natural forms, her work carries a sensibility close to oriental art. Since 2008, she has developed her personal practice through projects for international clients and brands.
This exhibition invites the viewer on a circular walk through a garden. It begins with the serene green of eucalyptus and moves into the intimacy of delicate pink branches. At its centre, the path dissolves into a moment of silence and mist, before golden sunset light emerges through the branches.
The journey culminates in Breeze, the large flower that presides over the exhibition, softened by the wind. The walk then returns to the spirit of eucalyptus, transformed by the beauty of the path.
A series born from patient observation of the natural world and translated into the language of painting.
