CLEANING AND DISINFECTION
All the spaces, furniture and textiles of the hotel have been and continue being disinfected with the highest quality products with full virucidal efficacy.

AIR FILTERS
Our air conditioning filters are disinfected regularly to avoid any risk of transmission.
TEAM TRAINING
Our team has received a comprehensive training from an external risk prevention agency, to guarantee the health and safety of employees and guests.
HEALTH AND SECURITY
Each employee´s temperature will be checked on arrival and only let into the building if below 37,2 degrees Celsius. The use of approved face masks is mandatory for all hotel employees throughout the day and area.
ONLINE CHECK-IN
We put at your disposal our online check-in system via our app or browser before arrival to reduce contact during registration.
DIGITAL COMMUNICATION
For your comfort, you may communicate with the teams at El Palace Barcelona 24/7 before, throughout and after your stay via our app or via WhatsApp.
SAFE TRANSPORTATION
We offer you our private transfer service from Barcelona Airport, Barcelona Port or Barcelona Sants train station, which fully complies with our strict safety and hygiene protocols. Please reserve this service in advance.

WELCOME
We look forward to welcoming you and we will greet you with great affection whilst maintaining the recommended distance, without shaking hands. Upon entering our building, your footwear will be disinfected by a special rug. We have made available a “Safety Station” where one of our colleagues will take your temperature and where you will also have at your disposal sanitizing hand gel and face masks.

SAFETY DISTANCE
Our spaces are large enough to maintain the recommended social distance. Please be responsible and keep 2 meters distance between guests and employees, use the elevators individually or only with the occupants of the same room/family and use the face mask in public areas.
HYGIENE KIT
You will find a hygiene kit upon arrival and disinfectant gel at your disposal in all areas of the hotel.
LUGGAGE
We will only handle your luggage if you wish us to. If so, our bellboys will offer to disinfect the suitcases and will also do so with their trolley after each handling.
VALET PARKING
We will only park your vehicle if you wish us to, and in that case, we will cover the steering wheel with a disposable cover and disinfect it before handing the car back to you. If you prefer to park it yourself, we will give you all the indications to do so.
CONSTANT CLEANING
All public and private areas, furniture, textiles of the hotel are regularly disinfected throughout the day for your total tranquility.
HYGIENE OF KEYS
Before giving you the keys to your room, our Concierge team will disinfect them, ensuring complete virucidal efficacy.
PAYMENTS
We recommend payment by credit card, contactless or online. Our PDQ machines are disinfected after each use.
MENUS
You can access the menus of our bars and restaurants using a QR code or through the hotel app that works for iOS and Android, which you have access to before and during your stay.
In addition to the high health and hygiene standards of Mayan Luxury Spa, we have reinforced our protocols by working closely with ISPA (International Association of Spas) and with the association of Spas and Beauty Centers "Spa BCN Connect" to achieve the Spa Quality Certificate seal, that guarantees the follow-up of the protocols necessary to adapt to the COVID-FREE measures. Likewise, all our therapists have followed the Courses recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO) and have the diplomas that certify it.
The therapists take their temperature twice a day, wash their hands with soap and water and hydroalcoholic gel before and after each treatment, and use masks approved according to the UNE 0065 standard. They also have gloves available in case the client requires to use them in your treatments.
Digitization of the customer file and digital catalog or access with QR Code if the customer wants to see it on their mobile is available.
All public areas and booths are disinfected after each client and regularly throughout the day.
The laundry is certified in the UNE-EN 14065 standard, guaranteeing the total disinfection of all bathrobes and towels.
All areas have “Intense Pure Air” air purifiers with NanoCapture Technology
In the treatments, single-use disposable material is used: underwear, slippers and blankets for the stretchers.
The client can shower before and after each service.
Disposable covers will be provided to cover customers' shoes.
