Corporate responsibility
El Palace Barcelona is determined to be a sustainable entity within its community. A better world can only be possible if everyone adds their own efforts to make this a better place for us and our next generations.
At El Palace Barcelona, we are committed to supporting our community through regular food donations. Each week, we prepare and deliver meals to several local organizations, including the ALPAN Foundation, Monasterio de San José, and the Asociación Casa Guadalupe.
These associations play an essential role in assisting vulnerable groups, from families and elderly individuals with limited resources to communities that rely on external support for their daily needs. By contributing to their initiatives, we help ensure that nutritious meals reach those who need them most, reinforcing our dedication to social responsibility and solidarity.
On Sant Jordi Day, those who join us for our gastronomic experiences will receive a Pulsera Candela. These handmade bracelets support childhood cancer research at Hospital Sant Joan de Déu. We will also give roses from the Mil y Un Sueños Association to our guests, a gesture of hope for children with serious illnesses.
El Palace Barcelona collaborates with Fundación Xana, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting children and young people affected by serious illness, along with their families.
Our partnership focuses on organizing activities and initiatives that provide both recreational and social value, ensuring that families can enjoy enriching experiences during challenging times.
The Foundation, founded in 1992 by Dr Bonaventura Clotet, fights AIDS and other infectious diseases through care, research, and support. Based at the Germans Trias i Pujol University Hospital (Badalona), it operates as a non-profit organisation.
Each year, it hosts a fundraising gala attended by prominent figures. El Palace Barcelona supports the event by providing rooms for guests, helping boost visibility and donations.
One euro from each in-house guest invoice is donated to l’Escolania de Montserrat, one of the oldest children’s choirs in Europe. This initiative helps ensure that no child has to forgo general or musical education due to a lack of resources.
In addition, we host the annual Grand Charity Christmas Concert by l’Escolania de Montserrat, with all proceeds donated to Casa Guadalupe and Mission Education.
El Palace Barcelona has achieved, in an agreement with the Works Council the first Equality Plan and the Protocol of sexual harassment.
The Barcelona Zero Plastic Commitment provides a framework for developing an effective strategy to reduce single-use plastics in the city.
By joining this initiative, El Palace Barcelona aims to be a driver of change, aligning with the efforts of other organizations in the city to work towards a plastic-free Barcelona and a healthier, more sustainable future.
Barcelona Biosphere is a joint initiative by the Barcelona City Council, Turisme de Barcelona, and the Chamber of Commerce to promote a balanced tourism model for a more liveable and sustainable city.
It recognises tourism businesses committed to environmental responsibility, fair employment, gender equality, and cultural preservation, all contributing to a more sustainable local economy.
